4 recent area tornadoes wreaked havoc
Don't be fooled. Just because a tornado is classified as an EF-0 tornado does not mean it made life simple. In fact, the wind speed range for an EF-0 tornado is 65-85 mph, far from a gentle summertime breeze. Such gales can still wreak havoc. Just ask citizens in Arlington, Eagle Mountain Lake, Farmers Branch, and Fort Worth what life was like last Sunday. And look at the tornado damage from and EF-0 tornado!
Here is NOAA's Fujita Scale (light damage is still damage). According to NOAA, an EF-0 tornado can still wreak "some damage to chimneys; branches broken off trees; shallow-rooted trees pushed over; sign boards damaged." When you clean up such a mess, zero feels like anything but that. And that applied to three tornadoes; one tornado was an EF-1 (even stronger).
